Complete Food Manufacturing and Ingredient Origins

All PrimaCat complete foods, including dry food and wet food, are manufactured in the Czech Republic. A significant proportion of the ingredients used in our complete foods come from areas close to our factory in Europe. To ensure availability, we occasionally source lamb from New Zealand in addition to the United Kingdom. Depending on availability, the country of origin of the chicken and turkey is either the Czech Republic, Slovakia or Denmark. Our fish comes from Denmark or Norway, and our beef originates from the Czech Republic.

Potato Flake Origin and Product Safety

The potato flakes we use are made from raw materials intended for human food production. Food legislation defines limit values for glycoalkaloids, and the glycoalkaloid content of the potato flakes used in our cat foods falls within those limits. We test finished products in accordance with our self-monitoring plan. Our self-monitoring plan includes, among other things, raw material reception, sampling, storage, use in production, documentation and traceability records. We carry out laboratory testing throughout the production process to ensure that each product matches its declared composition and packaging information up to the best before date. The country of origin of the potato flakes is the Netherlands.

Cat Treat Manufacturing

PrimaCat cat treats are produced in the Czech Republic and Austria, and we use European ingredients in their manufacture.

Fillets and Soup Product Manufacturing

PrimaCat Fillets and Soup complementary foods are made from high-quality chicken and tuna in a Thai factory that also produces food for human consumption. We approve only the highest-quality ingredients for our products. Our partner factories are certified and meet our strict quality requirements.

Quality Control and Nutritional Standards

All PrimaCat products undergo product and quality specifications. In addition, our self-monitoring system includes monitoring product quality and any potential quality deviations through laboratory testing. We follow the feline nutritional guidelines and cat food quality standards defined by Fediaf (European Pet Food Industry Federation).
